4/3/10 Game 1 vs. Triton - The bats were hot early and often, sadly it was the Triton bats that did all the damage enroute to a 11-1 thumping of the CC JV squad. CC could only muster up 5 hits, including consecutive hits by Tori, Jasmine and Shea to break up the shut out. Only Phylicia (Fulwaffle) and Shannon added to the hit total. Triton ran the bases wild on a shaky CC defense which bobble balls and made poor throwing decisions throughout the entire game. The defensive gem of the game was turned in by Jasmine Hayes making a terrific dig of a ball in the dirt to end the 4th inning. Next up: Paul VI.

4/6/10 Game 2 vs. Paul VI - Sloppy play at the start of the game led to another dissapointing loss. The CC squad continues to be charitable by giving extra bases away like Santa gives gifts. On a good note, the bats were more evident in this game led by Phylicia Pellot (3-4) and Tori Juliano (2-4). The game was close going into the 6th inning but some more mistakes in the field and some bad officiating doomed the team to an 8-3 loss. The defensive gem of the game was turned in by Tori Juliano who received the throw from Shea Vallen and quickly slapped at tag down to nail a runner at the plate. Next up: Cherry Hill East.

4/7/10 Game 3 vs. Cherry Hill East - The team got catcher Karlee Kerchersky back for a game and that seemed to tighten up the defense as this game stayed scoreless through 3 innings behind a strong pitching performance from Amie Moore (6K, 1BB). After the third, Karlee was pulled back to varsity which caused the defense to have to shuffle around. Instead of falling apart, the squad held it together and pulled out a impressive 2-1 win. Both teams pitchers were on and the game was scoreless going into the bottom of the 5th where Amanda Zawadski laid down a perfect bunt to score Tori Julanio from third. C.H.E. tied it in the 6th on an error but instead of getting down, the team came right back in the bottom of the 7th on lead off single by Ashley Carr and a 15 pitch walk by Dani Palombi. A failed bunt attempt almost killed the rally but Ashley alertly stole 3rd when nobody covered the bag. Tori Juliano hit a shot to short stop but Ashley beat the play home for the win. The defensive gem of the game goes to Ashley Carr who made a running catch of a line shot in right center which looked for sure to be extra bases. Next up: Bishop Eustace.
